Recently, Ningxia has carried out research and investigation on the impact of high winds on agriculture. It is reported that since April, Ningxia has many windy weather, and the number of windy days is significantly more than that in the past five years. Ningxia is located in the northwest inland, belonging to the continental semi-humid and semi-arid climate, the most significant characteristics are long sunshine time, strong solar radiation, large temperature difference between day and night, suitable for planting food crops, wine grapes, wolfberry and so on. This time, Ningxia investigated the impact of spring winds on crops.

Climate and soil are factors that affect crop production. Not only wind, air temperature, air humidity, soil temperature and humidity, light radiation, air pressure, soil PH, etc., will affect the growth of crops. With the development of science and technology, we can control some of the climate factors to help agricultural production, and we can also prevent natural disasters through weather prediction.

According to the researchers' survey, the spring wind caused a soil moisture loss, or lack of water in the soil, leading to drought in some areas, which had a negative impact on the production of grapes, wolfberries and other specialty crops.

In order to prevent drought, freezing damage and other disasters, farmland in some areas introduce farmland microclimate observation stations, through the sensor 24 hours, uninterrupted observation of nearby climate changes, including but not limited to air temperature and humidity, wind speed, wind direction, air pressure, soil temperature and humidity, light radiation and other weather factors. The farmland microclimate observation station of Fengtu Technology transmits the collected data to the remote control center, and then the control center summarizes all kinds of information and issues early warning information in time.

For example, if the temperature is low, you may encounter freezing damage, you can take mulch cover, ditch clearing and soil cultivation, or build a stove in a greenhouse, electric heating air and so on to increase the temperature.

With the development of science and technology, more and more technologies have been applied to agriculture, and the farmland microclimate observatory will be promoted more in the future!
