1.Principle of COD monitor

The principle of the cod monitor is that a mixture of water sample, potassium dichromate digestion solution, silver sulfate solution (silver sulfate is added as a catalyst to more effectively oxidize linear fatty compounds), and mercury sulfate solution is heated to 165°C, dichromium The color changes when acid ions oxidize organic matter in the solution. Add a certain amount of potassium dichromate solution to the sample, use silver sulfate as a catalyst in a strong acidic medium, use a unique dilution injection technology to reduce the chloride ion concentration, and use a joint masking agent to mask high-concentration chloride ions. After digestion, the COD concentration value was determined using spectrophotometry.
