[Racing Pigeon DNA Test for Flight Ability storage conditions and validity period]
The shelf life is 12 months when stored in the dark at -20°C; avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
[Racing Pigeon DNA Test for Flight Ability Sample Requirements]
1.Feathers: Collect 2 feathers from the chest, abdomen or legs.Do not use feathers that fall off naturally.
2.Whole blood: Use EDTA as an anticoagulant, and avoid using heparin for anticoagulation.It is required to use fresh whole blood, or to store it at 2 to 8°C for no more than 7 days, or to store it below -20°C for no more than one month.Repeated freezing and thawing should be avoided as much as possible.
【Racing Pigeon DNA Test for Flight Ability test method】
1.For sample processing and nucleic acid extraction, please refer to the relevant operating instructions for specific operations.
(1) In a 0.2ml PCR tube, add 2-4 feathers, add 20ul of Reagent A (be careful to submerge the sample), and heat at 99°C for 20 minutes;
(2) Add 100ul of Reagent B to the PCR tube from the previous step, centrifuge at 5000rpm for 30 seconds to 1 minute, and set aside;
2.Instrument preparation Connect each instrument to the power supply and check whether it is operating normally.
3.Item preparation: centrifuge, ice box, pipette, pipette tip; reagent preparation (not used in aliquots): Thaw the PCR reaction solution, mix well, centrifuge briefly and aliquot into 14 µL/tube.

[Racing Pigeon DNA Test for Flight Ability product performance indicators]
1.Specificity: The specific reference products were tested, and the test results of all reference products were negative.
2.Accuracy: When reference products of different genotypes within the detection range are tested, the corresponding genotypes can be detected.
3.Minimum detection limit: should not be higher than 5ng/µL.
4.Repeatability: Repeatable reference products of different genotypes within the detection range, each reference product is tested 10 times, the results can be accurately classified, and the coefficient of variation (CV) of the Ct value of the corresponding test results should be ≤5.0%.
5.Validity period: The kit is stored in the dark at -20°C and is valid for 12 months.
[Racing Pigeon DNA Test for Flight Ability Precautions] Please read the instructions carefully before testing
1.This kit only detects pigeon flight ability genes in vitro.Relevant laboratory management regulations are strictly implemented in accordance with the management regulations on gene amplification testing laboratories promulgated by the administrative departments.
2.The kit should be transported and stored at low temperature.Please centrifuge briefly before using each reagent in the kit.
3.When testing, sample extraction must be carried out in a biological safety cabinet, and attention must be paid to horizontal contamination when using it.
4.The experiment should be strictly divided into zones: Area 1: Reagent preparation area—prepare the reagents required for amplification;
The second area: sample processing area - processing of samples to be tested and reference substances;
The third area: PCR amplification area—PCR amplification detection.
This product is a disposable product, and waste such as test kits and samples after use should be treated as sources of infection in accordance with relevant national laws and regulations.
