Atmospheric Visibility Sensor measurement principle
Atmospheric Visibility Sensor is mainly used in the field of traffic to obtain real-time visibility values by measuring the atmospheric extinction coefficient.Smog is composed of many tiny water droplets and various fine particles in the air. The infrared light emitted from the light source is scattered by the water droplets and then detected by a highly sensitive detector. Within a certain range, the more water droplets or other tiny particles detected, the greater the intensity of scattered light. Through embedded software calculation, the light scattering intensity is converted into a standard visibility value.
Main features of Atmospheric Visibility Sensor
The transmitting and receiving unit and the controller unit are installed in the same chassis, which is small in size, light in weight, compact in structure, and easy to install and debug;
It has the ability to automatically detect the degree of optical pollution, perform correction and compensation, and issue a maintenance alarm when the warning value is exceeded:
direct continuous measurement
No moving parts – low maintenance
Simple installation and debugging
