According to a large number of studies, it is concluded that meteorological factors have practical effects on milk production of dairy cows, including temperature, relative humidity of air, sunshine duration, air pressure and other factors.


Step 1: Temperature

Cows produce their best milk only at the right temperature. Cows are very sensitive to high temperatures, and when the temperature is high, symptoms such as shortness of breath and loss of appetite will occur, and milk production will also decline.


2. Relative humidity of the air

When the air relative humidity is higher than 90%, the milk fat percentage of cows will decrease, affecting the milk quality, and cows are also prone to disease. Therefore, proper ventilation is necessary.


3. Sunshine duration

Under the conditions of the right temperature, the longer the light, the more vigorous the metabolism of the cow, the higher the feed conversion rate, and the milk production. Taking advantage of this, artificial light can be used at night to increase milk production by extending the light duration.


4. Air Pressure

Air pressure affects precipitation, high air pressure, air flow down, the weather is sunny and dry, while low air pressure, air flow up, precipitation increase, indirectly affect the change of temperature, thus affecting the milk production of cows.
