1.Principle oftotal chromium automatic monitor

The principle of the total chromium automatic monitor is that in an acidic solution, trivalent chromium is oxidized to hexavalent chromium by potassium permanganate. Potassium persulfate oxidizes the digestion solution and water sample under high temperature and pressure, and various compounds in the water sample are oxidized by potassium sulfate. Oxidative digestion converts to nitrate. This product is measured using the diphenylcarbazide spectrophotometric method. After the water sample is mixed with a strong oxidant, trivalent chromium is oxidized into hexavalent chromium. The hexavalent chromium reacts with the indicator in an acidic environment and in the presence of an indicator. A colored complex is generated, and the analyzer detects the color change and converts this change into a total chromium value and outputs it. The amount of colored complex formed is equivalent to the total amount of chromium.
