Radar Flow Meters use microwave technology to detect water level and velocity. They can calculate and output instantaneous section flow, cumulative flow, velocity and water level.The Radar Flow Meters developed by our company use K-band planar microstrip array antennas with concentrated energy and low power consumption; the instrument integrates vertical angle compensation, flow velocity averaging, signal strength detection, serial communication control and other functions, and is a non-contact radar flow measurement When the system speed is measured, the equipment is not corroded by sewage or affected by sediment. The civil construction is simple and less affected by water damage. It is easy to maintain and ensures the safety of personnel. Not only can it be used for daily environmental monitoring, but it is also particularly suitable for undertaking urgent, difficult and dangerous observation tasks.

The installation diagram is as shown in the figure. On-site installation can rely on existing building foundations such as bridges and brackets. However, it must be ensured that the radar wave emission direction of the current meter is parallel to the direction of the water flow. The emission wave of the current meter is at an angle of 45° to the water surface. The factory default adjustment is 45°.

6. Precautions for installation of Radar Flow Meters

1. The installation needs to choose a stable flow state, on a straight channel, away from the gate outlet, and at the elbow of the channel.

2. Try to control the installation height within 5 meters (the closer the distance, the stronger the measurement signal and the more reliable the data)

3. The water velocity is lower than 0.25 and the water ripple is small, making the measurement unstable.
