Network of meteorological observation stations

A network of meteorological observation stations is a global or regional network consisting of multiple meteorological observation stations for the observation of atmospheric states and phenomena. These stations exchange and share data through the network to provide services for meteorological operations, scientific research, national economy and national defence. The main role of the meteorological observation station network is to collect, transmit and store meteorological data and provide them for use by meteorological forecasters and other meteorological users.
