According to IEC 62793, the alarm signal that can appear within 5 to 30 minutes before lightning strikes is called a lightning warning system.

The essence of lightning is that when the electric charge in the lightning cloud continues to change and increase, the electric field strength will change and strengthen accordingly, so it can be predicted whether there is lightning strike phenomenon by monitoring the change of electric field strength and analyzing its change trend.
