The automatic monitoring system for soil and water loss is mainly composed of a data collection and storage main computer, a sand content measurement sensor, a surface flow sensor component, and a rainfall sensor.Rainfall sensors measure rainfall intensity and its changes over time, as well as total rainfall and rainfall duration.The surface flow sensor component automatically measures the surface flow, calculates the surface runoff flow that changes with time through the central control computer software and parameter settings, and obtains the real-time change process of the runoff flow.In the system design, the sediment content measurement sensor measures the runoff sediment content in real time at the vertically distributed sediment measurement port of the runoff based on the rainfall/runoff change characteristics.
Through the work management/data storage software and the main computer, the process data of sediment content, runoff, and rainfall measured by each sensor are managed and stored, and the measurement data are remotely transmitted to the management and monitoring center.
